We're quantifying symptoms to provide better, smarter, individualized health care.
We know that the time between visits is a mystery, recall is imperfect, and guesswork slows progress. Amissa closes the trial-and-error gap in prescribing and care planning so patients can feel better, faster.
Our Mission
Amissa Health was founded in 2017 in Charlotte, NC to support Alzheimer’s research through real-world data collection. Our work has enabled institutions across the U.S. to gather wearable data at scale.
In 2024, Amissa received an NIH SBIR grant in partnership with Washington University in St. Louis to monitor the behaviors of older adults and develop machine learning models that detect early signs of Alzheimer’s.
While advancing brain health research, we uncovered early science suggesting strong links between menopause and dementia. Two-thirds of dementia patients are women, and hormonal changes may play a critical role.
Despite this, there are still no digital biomarkers for perimenopause—no way to measure when it starts, how symptoms change, or how they connect to long-term health. We’re changing that. By combining biometric data with self-reported symptoms, Amissa is building the tools to transform midlife care for women.
