Endometrial ablation is a minimally invasive procedure that removes or destroys the lining of the uterine cavity (endometrium) to treat dysfuntional (heavy) uterine bleeding. It is typically recommended for women who do not respond to medical treatments and decline hysterectomy. This procedure is not recommended for women who have not completed child bearing.
